Home, Sweet Home – Making Our House Into a Home

This time last year I was building fences, mourning the impending loss of a family member, and planning for the rest of my life.  I thought I had it all planned out and I was completely satisfied at the prospect of beginning my life alone…well, alone plus 2 dogs and a herd of sheep.  But on this day last year, something/someone radically changed my life.

Jerrad and I met one year ago today.  He came to sing at my church for our Arial Family Christmas.  Little did either of us know it was a setup.  We exchanged hello’s and went about our ways.  Believe it or not, I made the first move.  I let Barbara know I was single and I search for him on myspace and sent a message that read “Did you by chance sing at my church last night?”  The rest is history. 

I find myself becoming rather sentimental about the whole situation.  If you know me at all, I’m not a sentimental, mushy-gushy kind of person when it comes to things of romance.  This has honestly been the best year of my life.  I really could not ask for someone to be better to or for me. I’m so thankful for the time we have spent together and for the blessing of Jerrad himself.  I can’t wait for the next year!
